OCTOBER 10 “GOT JEALOUSY?”

Eyes make us blind, not the heart.

If I were blind, I would not be jealous of my neighbor’s fine house,

If I were blind I would not be jealous of their fine car, nor their lovely furniture

If I were blind I would not be jealous of his fine wife, but because I see, my jealousy is fueled.

Why do they have, what I don’t have!

Surely our creator knew from the beginning that his creation would struggle with jealousy… “Thou shall not covet thy neighbor’s house, nor his Ox, nor his wife, nor anything else of thy neighbor”

We have broken this rule over and over to the point where men have done cruel things, to go after the very things and/or people that God told them, not to be jealous over.
