NOVEMBER 3 “THE PEARLE OF GREAT PRICE”

The heading was;
“You’ll lose friends when you get a new boyfriend”
A recent study has delivered some news that may bum you out:
According to researchers, when women enter a new relationship, they’ll lose two friends on average.
So basically, you gain a boyfriend… but you lose friends in the process. Unfortunately, I can’t say I find this study very surprising. Ever since high school started, I have watched many friends come and go – and the biggest reason I’ve grown apart from girls I was once was close with is because of relationships. Whether it’s my new relationship or theirs, one thing is for sure: a boyfriend guarantees that I’ll be missing a bestie in the near future. When we’re single, we all swear up and down that we’ll never be like those girls who ditch their friends for their BF. Then we meet someone we really like, and we find that it’s incredibly hard to find the time for a boyfriend, friends, and everything else we have to do. So we pick and then drifting apart from friends is inevitable…
At the cost of losing other relationships, we choose this one as supreme! After all, I’m not going to marry my BFF, but I may marry him or her… And at that price, I’m willing to lose other things.
If you’ve never been in a relationship where you became so consumed with that person, that nothing else mattered or anybody else "at the cost of losing everything and everyone, I will hold on to you!"
Can make a pretty good love story.
When Jesus gives us the Parable of “The Pearl of Great Price” we cannot pretend that we cannot identify or relate. Whether we are bible scholars or not, every human lives by the principle of “The Pearl of Great Price” whether that was a loved one, a career or sports or money, we all live by this principle.
Life will…has or will one day soon, reveal to you and to others, “who or what is The Pearl of Great Price to You”.

For many, Jesus is just a passing fancy, or one of many acquaintances in their life. However, Jesus doesn't describe himself as "one of many" in The Bible. He describes Himself as "The Pearl of Great Price", when He was found, he/she went and sold all they had, to purchase this Great Pearl.
