OCTOBER 12 "THE STING OF REJECTION"

New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick's quick embrace with longtime former Patriots and current Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady after Sunday's game did little to silence questions regarding a possible falling out in their 20-plus-year relationship.

However, the two apparently shared a private moment away from cameras after the on-field postgame hug that followed the Buccaneers' 19-17 win in New England.

The Athletic's Jeff Howe reports Belichick "was in the Bucs locker room for 23 minutes" and "walked out with Brady" after the game, adding that the two "planned to meet up after the game, so they coordinated this meeting beforehand."

Brady also confirmed the meeting during his postgame press conference, though opted to keep details of his conversation with his former coach private.

AFTER 20 years with his former coach and 20 years of loyalty to the team and Belichick, Tom Brady was released from his team (New England Patriots) to be traded, figuring Tom's better years were behind him as an NFL Quarterback. Tom Brady went on to take over the helms as quarterback with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, whom many called the Tampa Bay Succaneers; needless to say, Tom went on to win a SuperBowl with them, his 7th total.

But that would not be enough for Tom. Some commentators say he wanted this win, back in New England, against his former coach as much as he wanted the SuperBowl win. While that may be a slight exaggeration (or not), the point is, the sting of rejection does not so easily go away.

Tom was determined to PROVE to his former coach, YOU MADE A MISTAKE, when you rejected me!

Tom went on to win the game, by a mere 2 points, but that still wasn't enough. I want closure here, "why did you reject me, that hurt". And so that's why on top of everything else, a private meeting was arranged between the two, to hash things out. Rejection is no small thing!
