MARCH 24 "THE GOD WHO REVEALS HIMSELF IN HINDSIGHT"

 I was thinking of this the past few days and especially during the Christmas holidays, my family and I spent the whole day together! I mean from early morning to late at night.  A husband, a wife, a son and daughter. A united family, is a powerful thing. People have told us over and over the years, the Montreal church, the Toronto church, the Yuma church and I’m sure our present church here in Texas, would say the same if ever we were to leave… “That when you get the "Swifts", you get the family, it’s not one you get; it’s 4 for the price of 1. And as I was thinking about that, I flashed back, as I was praying at the church, in Yuma AZ when I was 27 years old, Shania was maybe 6 months old; after all, who prays for a 6 month old baby? What’s the use, what results will you see?  How will you know God is answering? Then I flashed back to when I was 29, after all …who prays for a one year old boy right??? Now I’m 30, with a  4 & 2 year old on my hands, a wife,…..and I remember I would pray for God to bless me with a “tight knit” family. What I never had or experienced growing up. I never had a father so I did not know how to be a dad and I never had a relationship with a girl that lasted more than a year, so I wasn’t good at that either; and here I was expected to stay with Melina for umpteen years and raise a family. So here I was with two kids and a wife, but I continued to pray, every morning, 7 years, in the mornings with my 1st Pastor, 6 years I prayed with my 2nd Pastor and 7 years I prayed, literally by myself in Montreal; now at 50 years old, looking back, in hind sight, I can see a God who fulfills! We will find that the longer we serve God, the more we will see the faithfulness of God in Hindsight. He is a God that many will never see, because they never stick around long enough to see that God that often reveals Himself….IN HINDSIGHT!
